The issue is reproductive rights. There are people who believe that women should have the right to privacy and could control whether or not they have a child and then there are people who believe that abortion starting at conception is murder. The issue is that abortions after the third trimester were banned in several states and some are banned period starting from conception. Birth control was also controlled by the government and in the past was shut down.

The biggest problems lie in whether abortion should be legal as a choice, when the mother is in danger, or if the pregnancy was a result of a rape. Birth control is also being targeted by people who want to end abortion. Problems are that some States are banning women from having abortions despite doctors advice. If there was no birth control, unintended pregnancies and abortions would be 2/3 higher.
